Shalynn’s Hope, Inc. will be hosting the 4th Annual Shalynn’s Shuffle 5k Run which will be held during the 2022 Apple Dumpling Festival on Saturday, August 20th at 7:30 a.m.

Founded in February 2018, Shalynn’s Hope Inc. provides education through speaking engagements and presentations at area schools, community meetings, and other public venues. These presentations focus on the education and prevention of drug abuse. Statistically, 90% of addicts started using before the age of 18. Through open assemblies in local school districts, Shalynn’s Hope provides a safe place for youth to talk openly about the risks of drug abuse, learn statistics to help prevent first-time drug use, plus recognize signs and symptoms and how to ask for help. This year’s race proceeds will be supporting continued assemblies and educational resources for the surrounding school districts and communities.
